TheĀ mountuneĀ Forged EngineĀ Rebuild for the 1.5-litreĀ Dragon engine native to the Mk8 Fiesta ST and Puma ST, includes mountuneĀ specification forgedĀ pistons and steel connecting rods for support of substantially increased power, torque and cylinder pressures, with assembly performed by one of our highly-skilledĀ racing division engine builders.
In addition to theĀ uprated rods and pistons, this upgrade replaces or upgrades a number of other key engine components to maximise reliability, including:
- Cylinder head gasketĀ
- Big end bearing shellsĀ
- Head bolts
- Crank seals
- Timing chain,Ā gear and guide
- Crank, ladder and flywheel bolts
- Water pump
- All other required gaskets / seals
- Engine oil and filter (Liquimoly)
- Coolant change
- Engine plaque
- mountuneĀ steel conrods
- ARP rod bolts
- mountuneĀ forged pistons
- mountune build plaque
Your engine will be removed from your vehicle, before being stripped and inspected within our racing division. Components being reused, including the block, will be multi-stage cleaned, before being rebuilt with the components and forged internals mentioned above. Once rebuilt, it will be reinstalled into your vehicle with all necessary fluids replaced accordingly. A 500 mile post run-in period engine diagnostic check is also included.
This product includes a fixed labour charge for installation at mountune HQ in Hutton, Essex. This is a comprehensive drive in, drive out service, where you can make use of our comfortable and spacious customer waiting area while the work is being carried out.
We will typically need your car forĀ approx. 5 working days.
Please note: the price shown for this product includes installation at mountune HQ only, and is not transferrable to any other dealer or installer.
Please specify your preferred installation date in the 'notes' section when checking-out; our workshop team will then contact you to confirm this date. If we can't accommodate your preferred choice, the team will discuss other available dates.
PLEASE NOTE: Your engine will be subject to a visual inspection after removal from theĀ vehicle. There will be a secondary inspection after tear down.Ā Any additional required work will be advised and quoted before proceeding.
